Chris Webster

Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist

For more than 20 years, I’ve been helping people meet life’s challenges, achieve better outcomes, and heal. Before beginning my second career as a therapist, I spent 16 years in management consulting, two of them in Europe. I’m also an avid reader and lifelong learner, and a professionally trained classical musician.

But this isn’t about me.

It’s about you—your life and your goals. The choice to seek therapy is itself a big step toward healing. My role is to help guide you as you move through self-discovery, to self-awareness, to self-direction.

Sometimes I lead. Sometimes I follow. Sometimes I walk alongside. The focus is always on you.

How I Work

Think of therapy as a way to get to know yourself better, to understand what’s really driving your thoughts and actions, and to discover new ways to direct them for better outcomes.

You’ll likely experience our sessions together simply as informal conversations, each one leading to insight and perhaps deeper inquiry.

Underpinning our conversations are solution-focused approaches centered on:

  • cognitive behavioral therapy—exploring the interconnectedness of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and

  • interpersonal depth psychology—growing your self-awareness to bring your unconscious thoughts to conscious awareness.

I Can Help With

• Addiction and Recovery
• Anxiety and Depression
• Grief and Loss
• Living with HIV
• Relationship Issues
• Self-Awareness and Self-Compassion
• Sexuality and Gender Issues
• Stress Management
• Trauma
• Work and Career Issues
Services

What to Expect

Safe. Comfortable. Confidential. That’s what our sessions together will be.

You’ll find an accepting environment where the full range of human expression and experience is honored. Bring your full self and freely express your truth. Be assured that you’ll be listened to and— more important—you’ll be heard.

Our first session will be a time to look behind your choice to pursue therapy. Together, we’ll explore what’s really going on, what your goals are, and what you can do to reach them.
